If players activate 20 paylines or less then they are restricting themselves to the first set of reels only. If players activate more than 20 paylines but up to 40 paylines they give themselves a chance to play on two sets of reels one after another. And if players activate more than 40 paylines but up to 60 paylines they give themselves a chance to play on all three
sets of reels one after another. Using the payline controls players can select from 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, or 60 paylines. If players select 35 paylines then they will play the first set of reels with all 20 paylines enabled but the second set of reels with only 15 paylines enabled. All three sets of reels face a common payout table. They have identical symbols on the reels. But there is one major difference. If the second set of reels gets activated then the player wins twice the payouts specified in the payout table for wins in the second set of reels. And if the third set of reels gets activated then the player wins four times the payouts specified in the payout table for wins in the third set of reels.
The players do not automatically progress from one set of reels to the next in the spin. One of two conditions has to be met. The first condition is that the player should receive payout wins. If the player achieves any winning combination in the first set of reels he will move to the second set. The same applies for the transition from the second to the third set. If the player does not win in the first set of reels then the spin is over even if all 60 paylines have been activated. The wager for the balance paylines is then lost without a try. This is to compensate for the multiplied payouts in the higher reels.
